Is there some kind of document i need to turn into law school admissions counsel to verify work experience?
I've been out of school for 2 years now. I've been working at my dad's company for a year, and now i'm in Korea teaching English and SAT's until i attend law school in the middle of next year. As far as I can tell, the only document you should send in optional at that is a letter of recommendation from an employer.I'm a bit worried, because while i worked for my dad, he basically paid me under the table so no tax filing involved , and I made quite a bit of money tutoring as well, which obviously wasn't reported either. Also, now that I'm in Korea, exactly how will I show my employment record formally. I'm very anxious, because from what I understand, the Bar is very proactive in their investigation of character, and at the time, it was just extra money on the side from my dad... but is this somehow comparable to tax fraud????

When is the best time to take the LSAT if I'm applying to law school for Fall 2010?
I just graduated from college and I'm taking a year off to prepare for graduate school admission. I was going to take the exam in September to make the first wave of application cycles. Is it a better idea to wait until December to take the exam so I have more time to prepare and possibly receive a better score, or is it better to take it in September so I can apply earlier?

What is the first year of law school like? Is it the same everywhere?

Will a good law school accept me?
i went to NYU and graduated with a 3.0GPA. i just took the LSAT and only scored a 151, but I didn't study at all. i have registered again to take it in december and hope to do better, but i'm wondering if i am going to contend for a good school. i live in new york city and i make 6 figures now, but i don't find what i do to be a career. i want to be a lawyer, but i'm worried that i will spend a ton of money going back to school only to take an extreme pay cut. what kind of chances do i have?

Can you be admitted to law school with a failed course?
Hi,I go to University in Canada, and have pretty good grades 90% average and wish to pursue law school after my undergrad. I'm currently about to head into my 3rd year. The problem is I failed a course my second year due to an unforeseen circumstance. All my other courses have been passed, and I'm retaking the failed course so it does not affect my grade average too much. Will failing a course prevent me from being admitted?I also have a lot of volunteer experience, play on an athletic team for the school, and have started a business. Will these extracurics also help?

Thomas Cooley Law School admission?
Okay, before all of you trash this school, I know it's tier 4 and doesn't exactly have the greatest reputation. Anyway I'll be graduating college with a not so great gpa undergrad record. LSDAS gpa is about a 2.6 7ish. I haven't taken the LSAT yet, but I was just wondering what kind of score I'd need to get in. I read on their website that there average gpa is a 2.9. Do you think I could get, if so what kind of lsat would I need? Oh an no remarks about " do you really want to go to law school," type questions please, I'm determined and asking a simple question.

Law school- what do you think?
I have always wanted to defend other people's rights. I graduated from undergra with BA in Poli Sci English and landed a job working as social worker case manager and have been working for the past 3 years. While my job is satisfying I want to do more for the clients and children I work with. My dream was always to go to law school but I wanted more work experience before I went into the field. A couple of things have kept me back a my GPA is 2.9 due to few courses i took first semester and overloaded myself after first semester I did pretty well and 3 semesters i was on dean's list. b most my college professors have moved away and i don't have contact info of many of them c $$$ being able to afford law school and also the money making after graduating many public defenders not getting paid enough and are also overloaded. The types of law that I would want to practice would be immigration law or family law child's attorney involved with CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICE . What do you think should I go for it?

Should I do Physical Therapy or Law School ?
I am currently a 4th year undergraduate student at the University of Toronto, and my gpa is good 3.6 3.7 so I am thinking of apply to professional school next year, should I go for something in healthcare like Physical Therapy, or law school. I am interested in both, I think that physical therapy is a good and rewarding field, and I have also always loved the idea of becoming a lawyer, so I can't really decide, anyone has any advice for me? How do those two professions compare in terms of pay, job prospects, prestige etc. ?
